Where is this house?!
The location is stunning and the design of the home itself is truly inspiring.  Not sure how I ran across the site of Bruce Bolander but he's an Architect that knocked my socks off - seriously...when I first saw his portfolio, my shoes popped off and my socks flew across the room.

UPDATE:
the house is in Malibu and as he states on DesignMilk, “The intent of the house was to not interfere with the views any more than was necessary. Its materials are in fact a bit rough and handmade, intentionally so.”

Felt desk organizer

This used to be available at Design Within Reach (I remember it was absurdly priced at $70+)...but now it's gone - anyways, love the color combination and texture - seems like this is something that would be pretty easy to craft on your own -

Helena Sugar Bowl - found at Mjölk in Toronto

John Baker and Juli Daoust (bloggers at www.kitkadesigntoronto.com) are the proprietors of Mjölk, a new Scandinavian design shop in Toronto. Their product mix includes unique items such as this sugar bowl by Helena Rohner It combines polished stainless steel with white porcelain; an interesting mix: cold with warm, modern with classic...very nice indeed.

Ceramic Speakers designed by Joey Roth

Wow, these are pretty. Love the utilitarian design. $495 gets you the pair.

The Ceramic Speakers are made from porcelain, cork, and Baltic birch. The amplifier is made from stainless steel sheet metal, with a cast iron base and wooden volume slider. Aside from the electronic components, plastic is completely avoided in the system’s construction.

Krown Lab - Sliding Door Hardware

My next home will have a set of hanging industrial style doors - and, if I have an extra grand to spare, I would buy the Baldur Sliding Door Hardware pictured above. It's massive 4” exposed industrial bearings make a bold statement as does the high quality stainless steel and precision casting.

Rural Modern - Seating

Ran across Furniturea and like the simplicity of their furnishings - I'm also intrigued by the concept of "Rural Modern"

From the website:
"Furniturea designs and manufactures contemporary hardwood furniture in a rural modern style. Our skilled designers and cabinetmakers work with simple, functional, traditional forms taken from rural Maine architecture and the decorative arts and imbue them with a modern style and whimsical spirit"

Bird Condo

If only us humans could life in such simple dwellings; it would be quite fun to fly into our front door too (but wouldn't be fun to eat worms). Anyways, figured I would add to the my wife's bird house collection she has assembled on her blog.  Buy this for $68 on Gselect and check out their blog too.
